Resident Com. Notice: City of Hollywood Starts New CodeRED Emergency Notification System
Announcements This afternoon, the City of Hollywood sent out a courtesy phone call to Hollywood residents announcing the City's new emergency notification system called CodeRED. This phone call contained a pre-recorded message that encouraged them to visit the City of Hollywood website,, to register to receive emergency alerts via phone, email and/or text. The CodeRED emergency alert system has been selected by the City to replace the Swift Reach Reverse 911 system the City previously used. Residents also have been advised that there is not currently an emergency in the City and that the only purpose of the phone call was to invite them to participate in the new CodeRED notification system.

CodeRED is a state-of-the-art messaging system that can be used to alert residents about weather emergencies, evacuation orders, serious police emergencies, gas leaks, and other situations that require immediate dissemination of crucial information. Hundreds of local governments across the United States rely on the CodeRED system to keep their residents and business owners informed.
