Upcoming Events for Residents to Learn About Crime Prevention and Public Safety

CRIME PREVENTION AND AWARENESS FORUM

The Hollywood Police Department is hosting a Crime Awareness and Prevention Forum, Thursday, January 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Boulevard Heights Community Center, 6770 Garfield Street in Hollywood. This forum is open to all residents. The Department will review its crime reduction strategy, discuss ongoing challenges and present department goals for the year ahead. This will also be an opportunity for residents to learn more about the department’s homeland security, “If You See Something, Say Something,” campaign.

Residents can meet and talk with the Hollywood Police Department Command Staff, Neighborhood Team Leaders, Crime Prevention Specialists and Homeless Outreach Coordinator.

APPLY TO BE PART OF THE CITIZEN'S POLICE ACADEMY

Applications are currently being accepted for the Hollywood Police Department's 19th Annual Citizen's Police Academy which starts on Thursday, February 5, 2015. Classes will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. in the 1st Floor Classroom at the Hollywood Police Department, located at 3250 Hollywood Blvd.

This academy is a twelve (12) week program in which citizens will have the opportunity to learn & observe the internal operations of the Police Department. APPLY SOON! Seats are limited!
There is a $40.00 (non-refundable) registration fee, which includes the Graduation Dinner (make checks payable to the City of Hollywood). Download the application from the www.hollywoodpolice.org under "Latest News."

Everyone plays a role in the safety of our community and country. Join with your police department for a safer tomorrow.

On-Line and Auto Debit Payment Options

Dear Member,

If you currently pay the monthly dues to Oakridge Property Owners Association (the “Association”) through auto debit, please be advised that starting with the January 2015, payment must be made to BB&T.

You have six options for automatic bill pay:

  1. ACH from Homeowner’s Bank Account: Make sure to include your Unit #, Lot #, or Bill Pay Account # in the memo section of the outgoing payment to identify yourself.

  2. Printed Check from Homeowner’s Bank:

  3. Mailing Check with Coupon included to PO Box address on Coupon:

  4. Bring Coupon and Payment to ANY BB&T Branch
  5. ePay through BB&T ACH Automatic Payment
    • Go to http://bbt.com/associationservices and select the “Homeowner Payments Through Association Services” option (roughly halfway down the page). Then, select the “Pay Now” option.
      1. Insert Bill Pay account number, serial number, and unit number.
      2. Select “Pay with Credit/Debit Card”
      3. Check the “Pay” box (Please note that there is a $9.95 convenience fee with this option.)
      4. Click “Continue”
      5. Follow remaining instructions. The total should be $109.95, including the the one-time convenience fee.
